Introduction
The Wax Village, also known as the "Stone Moon Village," is located in the outskirts of Denpasar city with convenient transportation in Bali, and is one of the representative places for the batik craft. As an ancient handicraft in Indonesia, batik has a long history of more than 2,000 years. Tourists can bring a white T-shirt and choose their favorite pattern for on-site production. These patterns are colorful, with many choices, and reportedly can be worn for a lifetime as long as they are not washed in hot water. The female workers are skilled, and a piece can be completed in less than 10 minutes. The style is elegant, the price is affordable, and it is suitable as a commemorative item or gift. In addition, stone carving is another important handicraft in the village. Local people select the soft volcanic rock on Bali for carving and make deity statues and various unique courtyard decorations, as well as small table-top ornaments for tourists to choose from. The Wax Village also has the traditional Barong dance, which is one of the highlights of Bali's dance culture and allows tourists to experience the rich local cultural atmosphere.
