Introduction
Mount Rinjani is an active volcano located in the north of Lombok Island, Indonesia. It has an altitude of 3,726 meters and is the second-highest volcano in Indonesia. Its latest eruption occurred on November 4, 2015.
The most unique feature of this volcano is that there are smaller volcanoes nested inside the main one. Inside the crater, there is a volcano lake called Segara Anak, which has an altitude of about 2,000 meters. In the lake, there is another smaller volcano called Baru, which was formed by secondary eruptions and has a peak altitude of 2,363 meters.

Opening hours The best travel season is from April to November every year, during which Lombok is in its dry season. From December to March is the rainy season in Lombok, and mountain climbing is not allowed.
