Introduction
Hassanal Bolkiah Mosque is one of the famous mosques in Bandar Seri Begawan, and also one of the largest mosques in Brunei, built to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Sultan's accession. The mosque is grand in scale and consists of a main building and minarets. The surface of the main building and minarets are coated with 24k pure gold, and when viewed from afar, the mosque glows brilliantly under the sun, displaying its magnificent and solemn beauty. Moreover, the mosque has two prayer halls that can accommodate 5,000 worshippers praying at the same time. Visitors are allowed to enter the mosque for sightseeing during the designated hours. Opening hours Visits are allowed during non-religious activities during the daytime.
