Introduction

The park, located in the eastern part of the center of Anshan City and built in 1950, is named in memory of the liberation of Anshan on February 19, 1948. It is a relatively large comprehensive park in Northeast China and also the largest urban park in the region, covering an area of 1.12 square kilometers. The park features a flower viewing area, leisure and fitness area, and children's play area, as well as mountainous and aquatic areas. The aquatic area includes five artificial lakes of different sizes for boating and swimming, with pavilions and corridors such as Yingbi Tower, Huancui Pavilion, and Yilian Bridge, creating picturesque landscapes of mountains and waters. The mountainous area, located in the eastern part of the park, has lush vegetation and winding roads, with more than ten scenic pavilions and a 38-meter-high Liao Mei Tower, providing panoramic views of the steel city. The park also has a newly built large amusement park - Dongshan Park, with more than 30 modern amusement facilities such as a flying train, white-water rafting, water world, Ferris wheel, formula racing car, and pirate city, featuring thrilling and novel experiences. In the southeast of the park, there is the Jade Buddha Temple, where the Xuyan "King of Jade Stones," weighing 260.76 tons and praised as the "most precious treasure in the world of jade stones," is still preserved. It has been carved into a giant jade Buddha, displaying its magnificence to the world.
