No matter who you are, whenever it may be, you can feel unparalleled comfort and tranquility on these streets and alleys carrying the memories of several generations, while also rediscovering the nostalgia for old Chongqing.

Tongxing Old Street

Address: Tongjiaxi Town, southern Beibei District, Chongqing. Note: Visiting Tongxing Old Street allows you to explore two ancient bridges: Fushan Bridge (built in the ninth year of Tongzhi); Jielong Bridge (built in the seventeenth year of Daoguang), and a well-preserved stone pillar inscribed with the words 'Forming Good Relations Together'.

Jingguan Town

Peeling away the dust, as you walk into the old street of Jingguan, you will be greeted by a strong cultural atmosphere. Deep within Jingguan, there is a group of artisans with a history as long as the old street itself, who are steadfastly preserving the traditional crafts passed down through generations, repeating their wonderful and happy lives day after day.

Hebajie

This ancient street is called 'Hebajie'. It features stilted buildings, small rivers, stone arch bridges, and an age-old Huangjue tree by the bridge. All of these elements, without their permission, have become the most iconic fragments of their childhood memories.

Shuitu Old Street

Shuitu Old Street has a long history, resembling an elderly person with a face full of vicissitudes, lying by the Jialing River. Most of the roads are composed of steps of varying lengths, reflecting the uneven terrain of Chongqing and forming a unique landscape of the city.

Qingmu Pass Town

The origin of Qingmu Pass lies in the word 'Pass'. From the dictionary, 'Pass' refers to a strategic pass, and as the name suggests, Qingmu Pass is a fortress of our mountain city. Historical records state that Qingmu Pass was an official road, and only after passing through here could one be considered to have left Chongqing. It wasn't until 1995, when the first Chengdu-Chongqing Expressway was opened, that this place became an important checkpoint.
