TIPS
From Chengdu to Bazhong, the natural scenery and cultural landscape are all in sight. Enyang Ancient Town, known as "Little Shanghai," boasts beautiful mountains and rivers. The ancient buildings here are characterized by the rich cultural style of northern Sichuan residences. The rock carvings in Nan Gao, Shuining Temple, and other places are known as the "best painted stone carvings during the Tang Dynasty" and are among the top ten grottoes in the country. The "Stone Gate," located at the southern end of Baoxie Road, has now been submerged in Baohe Reservoir. It was carved using the ancient technique known as "burning fire and blasting water" and is the world's earliest man-made vehicular tunnel. It is a valuable resource for studying the ancient transportation history of China.
