Chongqing Light Rail Special Stations

The trackless transportation passing through buildings, the Yangtze River cableway spanning the river, the endless long escalators... A guide to help you explore 3D Chongqing!

Passing through the building: Liziba Station

Can you imagine what it would be like for a train to pass through buildings? Li Zi Ba station on Line 2 is such an incredible site. The 6th floor is the concourse level, the 7th floor is the equipment level, and the 8th floor is the platform level. Every few minutes, a train zooms by on the 8th floor.

Jialing River View: Niujiaotuo Station

Line 2, which runs along the river, and Line 3, which crosses the river, intersect at Niujiaotuo Station. In the transfer area, you can stroll or stop at the glass corridor, enjoying the magnificent view of Jialing River and the bustling cityscape. Niujiaotuo Station is a popular spot for night viewing, with dazzling lights and sparkling waves of the river. At Line 3 platform, you can also capture the scene of trains passing through Liziba Station.

Secret Garden: Huanghua Garden Station

Only in mountainous regions with undulating terrain and lush forests will you find stations like Huanghuayuan. True to its name, Huanghuayuan Station resembles a secret garden, with winding paths leading to the entrance. Taking Line 2 from Huanghuayuan Station to Fotuguan Station, the train travels along the Jialing River. If you want to enjoy the scenic views of the Jialing River, boarding at Huanghuayuan Station is a good choice.

Graffiti Exhibition Hall: Martyrs' Tomb Station

Line 1 Martyrs' Cemetery Station boasts a graffiti area of 5,000 square meters, ranking first in the country. On the station hall ceiling, an eagle soars in the blue sky and white clouds; on the exit stairs, the bright yellow pattern stands out against the dark background. Must-visit attractions in Chongqing such as Zhazidong, Baigongguan, and Ciqikou are all located near Martyrs' Cemetery Station. After enjoying the graffiti inside the station, you may consider visiting these attractions.

90-degree turn: Stay safe

In Chongqing, the railway tracks wind along the mountains, and the most treacherous curve is the section from Ping'an Station to Dadukou Station on Line 2. With a bend of approximately 90 degrees, it looks thrilling like a roller coaster, but it still feels safe and stable inside the train. In fact, there are more such curves in Chongqing, including the sections from Ping'an Station to Mawangchang Station and from Linjiangmen Station to Jiaochangkou Station on Line 2, as well as from Tangjiayuanzi Station to Shiziping Station and from Jinyu Station to Jintonglu Station on Line 3.
