Yumbu Lhakhang is the first palace in the history of Tibet, with a history of more than 2,100 years. It is located on the Tashi Tsering Hill, 11 km southeast of Zetang Town. Although the palace is small in scale, it stands majestically on the hilltop, offering a commanding view. From the highest tower on the hill, one can enjoy a panoramic view of the Yarlung Valley and its pastoral scenery. About 400 meters northeast of Tashi Tsering Hill, there is a spring called 'Gar Spring', which flows continuously throughout the year. It is said that the water from this spring can cure all diseases, and many pilgrims who come to Yumbu Lhakhang drink the water to purify themselves.
