I personally feel that the roads in Austria are quite special in some places. Firstly, the speed limits on the highways vary a lot (normal 130, 100, road construction 90, 70, 50, different limits in rainy and snowy weather, and the major interchanges have a speed limit of 90, especially when the cancelation of the speed limit sign is often not visible). Secondly, the speed limits on regular roads are 100, 90, 70, 50, 30, but most village entrances and exits do not have speed limit signs, only safety islands and pedestrian crossings in the middle of the road.
