If I stay overnight in a nearby town, then I have two new questions. Is it better to experience by taking a train or by driving? Also, if I bring my luggage to another town where sightseeing and accommodation are not together, will it be very troublesome? Thank you ?

Definitely Road trip, the lake area is very beautiful. The luggage is in the car, it's very convenient to drive to various places.

To go to the lake district, you definitely need to drive. Otherwise, the traffic is still quite inconvenient. In Austria, you don't have to worry about your luggage being stolen if you put it in the car. When I was in Gmunden, I parked for three hours and then went to Upper Traun to check into the hotel. There is absolutely no problem.
