Experience a different Zhenglan Banner in Inner Mongolia

Among the 34 provincial-level administrative regions in China, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region is the "longest" one. When it is mentioned, almost everyone will say the phrase "the wind blows the grass low, revealing the cattle and sheep." This fixed image, just like every Inner Mongolian person being asked if they go to school on horseback, has become a kind of mental stereotype. To understand different aspects of Zhenglan Banner, you need to go and see these locations.

Zarqan banner

Zhenglan Banner is a banner located in Xilin Gol League, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. It is in the southern part of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, at the southern end of the Xilin Gol League grassland of paradise. It is only 180 kilometers away from the capital Beijing in a straight line, making it the closest typical grassland area to Beijing. The northern part here is the Hunshandake Sandy Land, presenting the natural landscape of sandy grassland, while the southern part is low mountains and hills, showcasing the beautiful scenery of the meadow grassland.

Yuan Shangdu ruins

The ancient capital ruins, praised by historians as comparable to the ancient Italian city of Pompeii, is the central Yuan Dynasty capital of the 13th century. I can only imagine how prosperous it must have been at that time. It is not only a precious human cultural heritage, but also one of the birthplaces of nomadic civilization.

National Museum of China

The Yuan Shangdu Museum was designed by Li Xinggang, the chief designer of the "Bird's Nest" and deputy chief architect of the China Architecture Design and Research Institute. It combines the surrounding mountains and makes use of the abandoned mining site to design and arrange the museum. It represents the historical trajectory of the development of the Yuan Dynasty and Mongolian culture. The museum houses over 60,000 rare items such as ceramics, bronzes, jade artifacts, ancient fossils, wooden artifacts, and ancient coins. It also features a recovered Han white jade carved dragon horn pillar.

Hongtun Lake

Hongtu Naoer, meaning Swan Lake, is located within the territory of Zhagesitai Township in Zhenglan Banner. It is the most beautiful "naoer" in Zhenglan Banner. Here, hundreds of swans, geese, and other migratory birds gather, strolling or playing leisurely in the water, reflecting the shimmering waves.

Wuhai City

He is located at an altitude of 1597 meters and is Mount Wanshou during the Yuan Dynasty. It was also a royal hunting ground, where Kublai Khan once hunted. During the Qing Dynasty, it was designated as the Chahar Zhengbai Niuquan Suluk Ao Bao for the worship of white bull herds.

Hu Biliye Film and Television Base

Perhaps you have also wanted to experience the golden horse and iron horse here, to lie drunk on the battlefield in a heroic manner, which is also a kind of heroic and majestic.
