Anhui has abundant tourism resources, with natural landscapes and cultural landscapes complementing each other. Delicate and exquisite beauty meets rugged grandeur and merges together.

Mountains, flowers, seas, and rocks

Scenic area covers an area of 25 square kilometers and is the largest karst landform landscape in the Yangtze River Delta region. It integrates various landscapes such as stone forests, caves, waterfalls, canyons, sinkholes, underground rivers, and mountain lakes. The scenery is beautiful, with more than 60 peculiar peaks resembling various shapes, such as the Y-shaped peak, the beauty peak, the bat peak, the lion peak, and peaks facing each other. There are also incredible stone formations, such as the Great Divine Turtle, the stone of Eight Immortals, the toad gazing at the sky, the rhinoceros gazing at the moon, creating a sense of whimsy. The stone forest landscape is spread out all over the mountains.

Jixi Longchuan

Longchuan, a famous river and village in Jixi County, southern Anhui, is an ancient village where the Hu clan gathers and dwells. It has a history of more than 1,600 years, dating back to the present "Jin" generation, with 48 generations in total. Longchuan is known for its beautiful and magnificent mountains and rivers. The Longfeng Mountain stands in the east of the village, facing Fenshan Mountain in the west. The Dengyuan River winds its way from the north, while the Tianma Mountain rushes from the south. The village is surrounded by mountains and connected by rivers, gathering the spirits of heaven and earth, showcasing its cultural heritage. At the entrance of the village, there is a majestic statue of a crane standing on a stone, reflecting brilliance. Standing atop, one can overlook the village, which resembles a dragon boat, eagerly awaiting to set sail and embark on the river and sea.

Guniu Falls Nature Reserve

The ancient name of Guniu Mountain is "Xihuangshan". It used to be a famous peak alongside Huangshan. The forest here is lush, with beautiful scenery and few human settlements. The natural vegetation is well-preserved, and there are rare animals such as sika deer, serows (Chinese goral), and short-tailed monkeys. It is also a kingdom of snakes, with 38 species discovered during the first survey, which is rare in China.

Xidi Ancient Village

Xidi is an ancient village with a long history, located 8 kilometers east of Yixian County. It was known as Xichuan and Xixi in ancient times. Xidi was built during the Yuanfeng period of the Northern Song Dynasty, which is about 900 years ago. The village is surrounded by mountains on all sides, with a length of 700 meters from east to west and a width of 300 meters from north to south. There are over 300 households and more than 1,000 residents. The village has 124 well-preserved Ming and Qing dynasty residences, which are rare in China in terms of their layout, craftsmanship, beauty, construction, and cultural significance. It is praised by tourists and scholars as the "most beautiful village in the world" and a "treasure trove of ancient residential architecture," and is also known as the "home in the Peach Blossom Land."
Hongcun is a ancient village located at the foot of Huangshan Mountain in the southern part of Anhui Province, China. It is known for its numerous historical buildings from the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The village also features a well-organized water system and a unique "ox" shaped layout, making it a typical example of Huizhou architecture.
The most typical and distinctive feature in the village is the wooden carving tower, which embodies the essence of Hui-style residential houses. It was built by Lu Bangxie, a fourth-ranking official in the fourth year of the Qing Dynasty. The wooden carving tower in Lu Village is a group of wooden carving towers composed of seven local residents' houses, mainly including Zhicheng Hall, Siji Hall, Sicheng Hall, and Glass Hall, etc. These wooden carving towers have exquisite carving skills and lifelike patterns, which can be called a museum of carving art, reflecting the skilled techniques and extraordinary wisdom of ancient Huizhou craftsmen.

Shangcun

The formation of Shang Village can be traced back to approximately a millennium ago. During the turmoil in central China at the end of the Tang Dynasty, many noble families relocated to Huizhou in southern Anhui. Due to its remote location with only a small creek as its connection to the outside world, Shang Village was chosen by some of these noble families and they gradually settled there, becoming a rare ancient village with multiple surnames in southern Anhui that has lasted for thousands of years. Furthermore, due to the village's appreciation for culture and the continuity of literary traditions from generation to generation, every household in Shang Village possesses inkstone and brush, making its literary atmosphere so remarkable that it is also known as the "Inkstone and Tile Village."
The most famous ancestral hall is the Yeshi Ancestral Hall, known as the "Xuzhi Hall" in the village, where Zhang Yimou's film "Ju Dou" was filmed. The ancestral hall has a history of over 300 years, with high-profile plaques and hundreds of beams, embodying the former owner's high moral character and prestige. In front of this ancestral hall is the famous "Xiyuan" garden, known for the famous prose writer of the Qing Dynasty and representative figure of the Tongcheng School, Yao Nai's "Xiyuan Ji".
