Introduction

The most typical and distinctive feature in the village is the wooden carving tower, which embodies the essence of Hui-style residential houses. It was built by Lu Bangxie, a fourth-ranking official in the fourth year of the Qing Dynasty. The wooden carving tower in Lu Village is a group of wooden carving towers composed of seven local residents' houses, mainly including Zhicheng Hall, Siji Hall, Sicheng Hall, and Glass Hall, etc. These wooden carving towers have exquisite carving skills and lifelike patterns, which can be called a museum of carving art, reflecting the skilled techniques and extraordinary wisdom of ancient Huizhou craftsmen.
