Where can I see the most beautiful rapeseed flowers in Wuyuan?

Wuyuan blooms with a large expanse of golden flowers every spring. The fragrant rapeseed flowers, accompanied by the dense rain strands of the Jiangnan region, outline the yearning of tourists for that yellow flower field. But with so many Wuyuan travel guides online, it can be overwhelming to decide between the east route and the west route. Which route is the most suitable for flower viewing? Don't worry, just go to Wuyuan to see the rapeseed flowers and this guide will be enough!

This is the most famous flower viewing spot in Wuyuan and also a representative of Wuyuan's pastoral scenery. Here, there are rapeseed flowers everywhere, arranged in terraces, cascading from the mountain top to the valley below. The layers of rapeseed flowers stretch endlessly, with a few small villages encircling in the middle. Outside the black-tiled white walls is a sea of golden flowers, creating a stunning view.

Likeng Village

Actually, Likeng is the name of an ancient village. In this village, there is a long river with deep water. The locals call this deep water 'Keng', and since everyone in the village has the surname Li, the village got the somewhat puzzling yet unique name 'Likeng'. Here, you can see mottled white walls, ancient eaves, and a small stream flowing in front of the doors, making a tinkling sound. Small wooden bridges, stone-paved roads, and black-awning boats are scattered among the blooming rapeseed flowers. Yes, you must go to the highest point of Likeng to overlook this small town and see the beautiful contrast of white walls, black tiles, and yellow flowers.

Moon Bay

In fact, Moon Bay is a moon-shaped small island. It is passed on the way to Likeng. Next to Moon Bay, you can see a small village and terraced rice fields. The best angle to view Moon Bay is from a small hill nearby, where a small viewing platform has been specially built. From the viewing platform, you can see the complete crescent shape of the moon. During the blooming season of rapeseed flowers, the entire 'moon' appears golden yellow.
Sixi and Yancun are actually two adjacent villages connected by a small river and a road. The entire village is primarily composed of Ming and Qing dynasty architecture, with bluestone-paved streets. The ancient buildings are backed by green mountains and face clear streams and flower fields, nestled in the natural scenery of brocade peaks and embroidered ridges, clear streams, and green rivers. The houses blend seamlessly with the natural environment, creating a picturesque and poetic landscape. Additionally, this location was used for filming the 1987 version of 'Strange Stories from a Chinese Studio' and the 2004 TV series 'Blue and White Porcelain'. It is also the prototype location for the lilac girl in Dai Wangshu's famous poem 'Rainy Alley'.
'Xiaoqi' is divided into two villages: Upper Xiaoqi and Lower Xiaoqi. It is said that the scenery in Wuyuan is the most beautiful. The villages are composed of Ming and Qing dynasty buildings, which are relatively well-preserved, with bluestone roads on the ground, exuding an ancient charm. There are two most famous things here: one is the thousand-year-old camphor tree, and the other is Xiaoqi imperial chrysanthemum. Xiaoqi has a continuous path flanked by fields of rapeseed flowers. Walking through the flower fields, the fragrance is overwhelming, and photos of this path are also very beautiful.
