Authentic and delicious childhood food list from Fuzhou, bringing back warm memories! (Part 2)

"Climb high and walk far, never leave Fuzhou." This is a famous saying among Fuzhou people, meaning that Fuzhou people enjoy good food and have the ability to travel far. This is due to the abundance of unique local cuisine in Fuzhou. In the following, I will introduce some of the special food in Fuzhou...

Dadao Wuzai Beef Shop

The old shop is located in Taijiang District, Fuzhou, near Exit A of Dadao Metro Station, making it very easy to find. It mainly serves beef, with dishes such as beef balls, beef tripe, beef heart, beef kidney, and beef omasum soup... as well as staple foods like steamed buns, noodles, and rice noodles. The prices are reasonable.

Yiqiang Beef Shop

When talking about old beef shops in Taijiang District, Fuzhou, Wuzai is one, and Yiqiang is another. They mainly offer similar products to Dadao, focusing on beef and related items.

Deng Ji Restaurant

Haha, after checking the information, I found out that this restaurant is gone due to demolition. This restaurant, known as a 'fly restaurant', is definitely the best Fuzhou cuisine restaurant I have ever eaten at. The signature lychee pork is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, sweet and sour, and finishing more than half a plate is absolutely not a problem.

Baibingyuan

An old pastry shop in Sanfang Qixiang, offering a wide variety of pastries. Not only does it have traditional pastries, but it also caters to new trends with many modern pastries. If you want to eat on the spot, you can buy some by weight. There are also boxed options that can be used as gifts. There are branches at the airport and train stations as well.

Qiaotou Rice Cake Shop

An old pastry shop located on Nanyuan Road, situated between No.1 Jianbao and Food Street. Recently, many food bloggers have been recommending this shop. All the pastries sold are traditional snacks such as glutinous rice, taro paste, tofu pudding, peanut soup, and eight-treasure rice.
