Minjiang Pearl, City of Banyan Trees, Eight Must-Visit Internet-Famous Attractions in Fuzhou

Located in the eastern part of Fujian Province, downstream of the Minjiang River, Fuzhou, also known as Rongcheng, is renowned as an important coastal city for foreign trade and as the "City of Romance". Fuzhou has a long history and numerous cultural relics, including ancient narrow streets, fragrant and ancient temples, and scattered former residences of famous people outside the city, all of which exude a strong cultural heritage and the tranquil lifestyle of the people of Fuzhou.

Fuzhou National Forest Park

Located in Chiqiao Village, Xindian Town, in the northern suburbs of Fuzhou, Fuzhou National Forest Park is the first national forest park in Fujian Province and one of the top ten forest parks in the country. It is a natural oxygen bar in Fuzhou, with abundant vegetation and ample oxygen. Every holiday, many people come here for hiking, barbecuing, and family trips.

West Lake Park

"West Lake Park" is located in the northwest part of Fuzhou city, with a history of over 1700 years. It is one of the best-preserved classical gardens in Fuzhou, boasting a long history. The park features the Eight Views of West Lake, including Xianqiao Willow Color, Dream Pine Sound, Ancient Temple Sunset, Crystal New Moon, Lotus Pavilion Evening Song, and more.

Xichan Ancient Temple

Located at the foot of Yishan in the western suburbs of Fuzhou City, on the south side of the west of Gongye Road, it is one of the five major Zen temples in Fuzhou and a key national temple. The temple was built during the Southern and Northern Dynasties and was abandoned at the end of the Sui Dynasty. It was rebuilt in the eighth year of Tang Xiantong and named Qingchan Temple. Later, it was renamed Yanshou Temple, Yishan Xichan Changqing Temple, commonly known as Xichan Temple.
Located in the center of Fuzhou City, Three Lanes and Seven Alleys is the collective name for ten lanes and alleys arranged from north to south along Nanhou Street. The 'Three Lanes' are: Yijin Lane, Wenru Lane, and Guanglu Lane. The 'Seven Alleys' are: Yangqiao Alley, Langguan Alley, Anmin Alley, Huang Alley, Ta Alley, Gong Alley, and Jipi Alley.
Located in the central part of Fuzhou City, Wushi Mountain, also known as Wushan or Daoshan, is one of Fuzhou's landmark buildings 'Three Mountains and Two Towers'. It stands taller than the other two mountains. The mountain is characterized by its rugged rocks, lush greenery, and numerous temples and pavilions scattered around. With thirty-six unique scenic spots, it has been a tourist destination since the Tang Dynasty.

Gushan

Gushan Scenic Area is located in the eastern suburbs of Fuzhou City, on the north bank of the Min River. It can be considered the most famous scenic area in Fuzhou City. It is named Gushan because there is a huge rock at the peak that resembles a drum. It is said that whenever a storm approaches, the rock makes a rumbling sound, hence the name Gushan.

Luoxing Tower Park

Luoxing Tower Park is located on Luoxing Mountain at the confluence of three rivers in the lower reaches of the Minjiang River in Fuzhou. The most important attraction in the park is the Luoxing Tower at the top of Luoxing Mountain, which can be considered a landmark of Mawei, Fuzhou. It is said that the Luoxing Tower was built during the Southern Song Dynasty and was included in Zheng He's nautical charts in the early Ming Dynasty. Since then, it has gradually become an internationally recognized navigational mark, known as the 'China Tower' and a symbol of the Minjiang River gateway.

Yongtai Qingyun Mountain Scenic Area

Qingyun Mountain Scenic Area is located at the border of Linglu Township in Yongtai County, Fuzhou City, and Hanjiang District in Putian City. It is named for its peaks that rise abruptly from the ground, standing tall in the clouds. The scenic area is known for its unique peaks and rocks, deep gorges, serene valleys, and numerous waterfalls. It is an ecological tourist area that integrates canyons, forests, waterfalls, ancient volcanic craters, alpine pastures, and bird nature reserves.
