Xingmingtan in Yuanxing is a farmhouse built according to the star-rated agritourism standards. It is good in all aspects. The boss is nice and the environment of the farmhouse is relatively good in this area. The location is very good, in the middle of the Yingxi corridor, which is not far from anywhere by car. The standard rooms are by the water, but the rooms are a bit small. The row of buildings behind is a suite with a living room, a courtyard, and a kitchen. There are water activities and scenic views nearby, which is very good. The only drawback is that the rooms along the street may be slightly noisy.

The giant natural limestone karst caves, which are kept at around 18℃ all year round, are a good summer resort.

The restaurant in the scenic area is spacious, clean, and has a great environment. The service inside the restaurant is good. The scenic area is large, so you can come here to eat when you are tired of sightseeing. The prices of the meals are not high, only 5-10 yuan more expensive than in the city. The Fengyang dried beef with dried chili is delicious and has a generous portion. It is a must-try delicacy in Lianzhou. Lianzhou-style steamed spare ribs with Chinese cabbage, stir-fried water spinach with garlic, shredded beef with peppers, steamed fish, scallion oil chicken, the dishes are diverse and taste good.

Arriving at noon, we decided to have lunch first before sightseeing. This restaurant is located near the pier and is built in a Yao ethnic style. Here, you can taste authentic farmhouse cuisine, including the Longtan Yao King's longevity hot pot. Just hearing this name makes one curious, and seeing it in person truly opens up your appetite. Not only does this place showcase the passion of the Yao people, but it also offers delicious food from Lianzhou. Come and taste it!

The twin bed room I booked was well arranged, and the small floral bedding added a touch of warmth to the room. The inn kindly provided welcome fruits. The hotel, located by the mountain, has high requirements for insect and moisture control, and Longtan has done well in this aspect with insect-proof windows and purification. The hotel rooms have oversized scenic balconies, and as soon as you open the door, you can hear the chirping of birds. The delightful auditory beauty of various green plants thriving on the balcony quietly arrives at your ears. Living here, it is a natural aerobic forest, no wonder Lianzhou is also known as the hometown of longevity. Such original forests, far away from the hustle and bustle of the city, are indeed a good place for summer relaxation and health preservation. It is warm in winter and cool in summer, and it feels cool even without turning on the air conditioning at night.

The public canteen is located inside Yao Village, halfway up the mountain with good scenery. The prices for rural dishes are reasonable, but the taste is on the heavier side. I recommend trying the local snails, which are very fresh. The garlic-flavored Yao Mountain tofu skin is steamed and mixed with onions, garlic, and sauce, with a light and mild taste. The stir-fried Yao cabbage with eggs is yellow and green, resembling chives stir-fried with eggs, and tastes good.
