Huangchuan Three Gorges, A Breathtaking Journey Through Nature's Masterpiece

4.2

Introduction

Huangchuan Three Gorges is located in the main tributary of the Pearl River-North River system, originating from the Xingzi Hongyan Mountain, flowing through Lianzhou, Yangshan, and Yingde, and joining the North River at Lianjiangkou. Lin Huawen, the governor of the Qing Dynasty, once called it the "pearl of the link gorge", and it has always been known as one of the famous scenic spots in the Nine Provinces, with countless towers and pavilions. Among the three gorges, although the Yangtiao Gorge is narrow and deep, it has many magical legends, and the rocks and waterfalls are splendid. The stone stalactites and waterfalls in Longquan Gorge are even more amazing, and the narrow and dangerous gorge path adds to its excitement. Lengjia Gorge is famous for its steepness, like being cut by a knife or an axe, with various shapes of rocks and peaks and pleasing scenery. According to legend, Han Yu, a literary scholar of the Tang Dynasty, traveled to this place and left a poem called "Chaste Lady Gorge". During the Yuan Dynasty, floods blocked the river course of the Lengjia Gorge, causing a depressed economy in Lianzhou. Later, under the planning of Li Hua, Yang Rong, the prefect of Lianzhou, reopened this area by blasting the mountain and revitalized the economy of Lianzhou.
