Dongzha is a treasure among Jiangnan ancient towns, retaining its original water town style and cultural heritage accumulated over thousands of years. Its architecture, consisting of streets formed by rivers and connected by bridges, houses built along the river, and a water town style integrated with buildings, embodies the humanistic idea of harmony in classical Chinese residential architecture. Vibrant handicraft workshops and traditional shops each have their unique features, and the exhibits in specialty exhibition halls are also diverse. In addition to attractions such as shadow puppet theaters, Sanbai wine workshops, Xiu zhen temples, and Mao Dun's former residence, Dongzha also hosts performances such as martial arts and pole boat shows. Although smaller in scale compared to Xizha, Dongzha is compact yet powerful, making it suitable for busy tourists to take a moment to appreciate the beauty of the ancient town.

The Wuzhen West Village Bookstore is located in the West Village of Wuzhen West Street, near the historic Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, at the intersection of Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai. The windows of the bookstore overlook towering ancient trees, creating a beautiful environment. Wuzhen has always enjoyed folk operas such as Suzhou Pingtan, Jiangsu Pinghua, Huzhou Tanhuang, and Tongxiang Quanshu, known as "listening to books," and is enthusiastic about listening to "Lian Tai Shu." The older generation of "book fans" still remember and love to sing or perform famous works such as Jiang Yuequan's "Bao Yu's Night Adventure," Zhang Jianting's "The Battle of Changsha," and Wang Xiongfei's "Three Kingdoms," and have a deep understanding of Xu Lixian's Xu School and Jiang Yuexian's Jiang School. However, with the continuous diversification of various cultural and entertainment forms, this "slow-style" art form of folk opera has gradually faded from public view. Nevertheless, Wuzhen's folk-style bookstores have become a tourist feature of folk customs tourism.

It is rumored that Baijianlou was built over 400 years ago by Dong Fen, the Minister of Rites in the Ming Dynasty, for his family's caretakers.
The architecture here features a fresh and natural style, with characteristics such as blue tiles and white walls, riverside pavilions, and willow trees providing shade. It does not resemble the uniformity of the storefronts in commercial areas and still retains its original residential features.
The row houses in Baijianlou are densely packed with adjoining side walls, with the most concentrated part located along the east bank of the river from Lianhua Bridge to Chang Bridge.
Today, Baijianlou remains a residence for locals in Nanxun, and although the houses have a sense of age, they still emit a unique charm.
Baijianlou is one of the attractions worth visiting in Nanxun, showcasing typical Jiangnan water town scenery.

Zhuangyuanlou is an old shop with a history of more than 100 years. Although it is located in the ancient town scenic area, it is mostly visited by locals. The storefront is not easy to find, near the market, and only opens for breakfast and lunch. If you go there for lunch a little late, you might miss it. Zhuangyuanlou mainly sells noodle dishes at affordable prices. Its crispy and sticky texture, paired with slightly sweet noodle soup, tastes really good. In addition, there is a local custom that if a family has a baby boy, they all come to Zhuangyuanlou to eat noodles, so sometimes you can also catch the local celebration.
