Introduction

Wuzhen Xizhang Bookstore is located in the Xizhang area of Wuzhen West Street, close to the historic Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal. Its geographical location is at the intersection of the Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai provinces. Outside the bookstore, there are towering ancient trees, providing a beautiful environment covered in greenery. Wuzhen has always enjoyed various folk traditional art forms such as Suzhou Pingtan, Jiangsu Pingshu, Huzhou Tanhuang, and Tongxiang Quanshu. It is known as "listening to books" and has a strong interest in "Liantai Shu". The older generation of book lovers still remember and love to sing or perform famous pieces such as Jiang Yuequan's "Bao Yu's Night Adventure", Zhang Jianting's "Battle of Changsha", and Wang Xiongfei's "Three Kingdoms". They also have a deep understanding of Xu Li's Xu style and Jiang Yue's Jiang style. However, with the continuous diversification of various cultural and entertainment forms, this "slow-paced" art form of folk traditional art is gradually fading from people's sight. Nevertheless, Wuzhen's folk traditional form of bookstores has become a tourist attraction with its unique cultural characteristics.
