Introduction

The Great Britain was the world's first steel steam-powered ship and the first successful transatlantic steamship. It was designed and built by engineer Isambard Kingdom Brunel. It was decommissioned in 1937 and was towed back to Bristol for careful restoration for 30 years before being reopened. Today, visitors can admire its luxurious interior decor and experience the thrill and freshness of walking on the glass walkway.
