Watt was an important inventor of steam engines, born in Greenock in 1936, about 43 kilometers from the city center. To explore this town, you can take a walk along the ancient waterway and visit the Greenock Cut to experience the beautiful scenery. The surrounding paths of Overton take about two and a half hours and are approximately 8 kilometers long. The McLean Museum and Art Gallery in this town is dedicated to showcasing the history of steam power and Clyde River transport.
