Introduction

The Whitworth Art Gallery is located at the southern end of the University of Manchester campus. It is a museum of art belonging to the university. In 2015, it won the award for the best art gallery in the country in the prestigious "Art Fund" museum awards in the UK. The Whitworth Art Gallery has approximately 55,000 pieces in its collection. It showcases modern and historical art works, including paintings and wallpapers. The gallery's café has received high praise.
