Introduction

The Greek city of Segesta was founded by the Elimi people and is located in the northwest of the island of Sicily, Italy. Historically, Segesta had a long-standing rivalry with Selinunte. The temple buildings of the city are situated on a small hill, about eighty to ninety kilometers away from the city of Palermo.
