Introduction

The Cuartel de la Grajera is part of the ancient city walls of Valencia, built during the Spanish War of Independence. It is an important military defense facility facing towards Madrid. It was once used as a women's prison for a period of time. Now, the Cuartel de la Grajera has been transformed into a locksmith museum, attracting many tourists to visit.
