Introduction

St. Andrew's Church is an 18th-century Eastern Orthodox church and one of Ukraine's most famous landmarks. Its most notable feature is its magnificent exterior, with the church building designed in a Baroque style that resembles a work of art from a distance.

To the left of St. Michael's Golden-Domed Monastery is a Soviet-style building, which houses the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry. Walk about 200 meters along the road to the left of the Foreign Ministry building and you will see a proposal monument, in front of which is St. Andrew's Church. If you start from the main entrance of St. Sophia's Cathedral, turn left at the intersection towards St. Michael's Golden-Domed Monastery, then turn right at the next fork in the road and continue straight for about 300 meters.
