Introduction

The Museum of Ethnography is located in a white marble building that used to be the mausoleum of Akatürk until 1953. The museum houses valuable collections showcasing wedding ceremonies, Anatolian jewelry, woven carpets, Seljuk pottery, 15th-century doors and coffee, human body models during circumcision, and calligraphic works by Besim Atalay, who translated the Quran into Turkish.
