Introduction
The museum is located in a 17th-century canal house in the center of Amsterdam, called the Our Lord in the Attic Museum. During the years 1661 to 1663, these three floors were used as a "secret church" for Catholics who could not hold public worship. The museum opened on April 28, 1888, and became a Roman Catholic museum, attracting 85,000 visitors each year. Since the St. Nicholas Church opened to the public, the secret church at this location has been closed. Address Oudezijds Voorburgwal 40, 1012 GEAmsterdam, The Netherlands
