Introduction
Panier is an old neighborhood located next to the back door of Marseille City Hall, with a long history and ancient buildings. The area is named after the 17th-century hotel "Le Logis du Panier". In 1983, with the support of the European Foundation, the old town of Marseille began to restore its former glory. The site of the Roman road from the 6th century is also preserved here. This year, the Marseille City Council has once again restored the area and invited artists to settle in, turning it into a cultural and artistic hub.
