Introduction

This is the home stadium of Cologne, with a maximum capacity of 49,968 people and a fan rating of 99 points. It used to be a military fortress and was dismantled after the end of World War I under the Treaty of Versailles in 1919, which imposed strict military restrictions on Germany. The original Cologne fortress was removed, and the site was rebuilt as the RheinEnergieStadion.
