Chopin's birthplace and memorial museum is located in a small village called Żelazowa Wola in northwest Warsaw. The museum is a row of white cottages, reconstructed after World War II. The interior remains faithful to its original appearance. The courtyard outside the birthplace is picturesque, with a statue of Chopin standing within it.
