Introduction
The Cathedral is one of the most important buildings in Antwerp, and is also one of the largest churches in Belgium, covering an area of 2.5 acres. Construction of the cathedral began at the end of 1352 and was completed in 1521. The building went through many architects, but the overall style remained consistent and harmonious. The most notable feature is the high tower. The tower reaches a height of 123 meters and its intricate decorations are stunning.
