Introduction
Sok Kwu Wan, located on the eastern coast of Lamma Island in Hong Kong, is a quiet and rustic bay. It is home to a historic Tin Hau temple and popular seafood restaurants. The ferry is the only mode of transportation to and from Sok Kwu Wan. There are two ferry routes, one takes approximately 35-40 minutes round trip to Central Pier and operated by Hong Kong and Kowloon Ferry, while the other takes around 30 minutes round trip to Aberdeen and operated by Kwoon Chiu Ferry. The main attraction of Sok Kwu Wan is its preserved fishing village atmosphere, making it a great place to enjoy a seafood lunch at affordable prices. There is also a clean beach, just a 20-minute walk away. Additionally, climbing up the 353-meter Tung Shan in Sok Kwu Wan offers beautiful views. Lamma Island's seafood stalls are well-known, with slightly higher prices but good reputation. The average cost per person ranges from HKD 150 to 500. Transportation Sok Kwu Wan relies entirely on two ferry routes for external transportation, namely the Harbour Cruise Bauhinia that takes around 35-40 minutes to travel to and from Central Pier; and the Kwoon Chung Ferry that takes around 30 minutes to travel to and from Aberdeen.
