Introduction

The Hong Kong Maritime Museum showcases the history of China, Asia, and the West, with a special focus on ships, routes exploration, and maritime trade in the southern coastal areas and neighboring waters, as well as the outstanding contributions in naval armaments. In addition, the museum comprehensively exhibits the development process of Hong Kong's transformation into a major global port and shipping center. The museum houses a large collection of ship models and historical photographs, and offers a beautiful view of Tsim Sha Tsui. Opened in March 2013, the Hong Kong Maritime Museum is a rare gem among similar quality museums in the country and is definitely worth a visit.
