Introduction

Kowloon Park covers an area of 13.3 hectares and was established in 1970. It offers various recreational facilities such as the bird lake, themed gardens, children's playground, sports center, and swimming pool. In the 1930s, Kowloon Park was a military stronghold facing the harbor, and it was renamed as Whitfield Barracks by the British Army until they occupied the Kowloon Peninsula in 1861.
