Introduction

Chih Lin Nunnery is a Buddhist non-profit organization located on Chih Lin Road, Diamond Hill, Kowloon, Hong Kong. It is known for its architecture inspired by Tang Dynasty wooden structures and the surrounding Axe Hill Garden and Nan Lian Garden. The grand and elegant exterior of the building contrasts with the serene and peaceful atmosphere inside. With its all-wooden structure, symmetrical design, and encircling corridors, it offers a deeper understanding of ancient wisdom. Chih Lin Nunnery is also the only "International Buddhist Nuns Centre" in Hong Kong, providing a place for female high-ranking monks from around the world to practice Buddhism.
