Introduction

Ipoh Old Town is located west of the Kinta River in the old town area of Ipoh. It used to be a mining town, and since the early 19th century, many British tin mining companies have established subsidiaries here, making Ipoh increasingly important. At the same time, influential institutions like Standard Chartered Bank, India, Australia and China Limited have also set up offices in Ipoh. Ipoh has developed into one of Malaysia's major cities and has become the second largest administrative capital in Malaysia due to the thriving tin mining industry. Today, tourists can admire many historic buildings, taste authentic white coffee, and visit famous landmarks such as the train station and city hall. In addition, Ipoh Old Town is also popular for its food and murals.
