Introduction
Timanfaya National Park is located in the southwest of the island of Lanzarote, in the Canary Islands, Spain. The park covers an area of 51.07 square kilometers, with about half located in the municipality of Tinajo and the other half in Yaiza. The park is made up of volcanic lava and ash, creating a spectacular landscape. Established in 1974, the park attracts around 1.5 million visitors annually.
