Introduction
The Jain Temple of Ranakpur, also known as the Chaumukha Temple, is one of the important Jain temples in India, built in 1437. Constructed with white marble, the temple has a majestic appearance and exquisite stone carvings inside, creating a colorful and mesmerizing visual effect. The temple is adorned with 1,444 intricately carved marble pillars, each of which is unique. In addition to the pillars, various carvings can be found on the beams and ceilings. The architect of the temple, Seth Dharna Shah, was a successful Jain businessman who had a visionary dream of a celestial flying chariot described in the Jain scriptures.
