Introduction

Gateway of India, located at the southern end of Apollo Bunder in Mumbai, India, is a magnificent arch made of basalt, standing at a height of 26 meters. It was built to commemorate the visit of King George V and Queen Mary, and combines the cultural elements of India and Persia, with four towering turrets. Today, the Gateway of India is an iconic landmark of the city and an important venue for welcoming dignitaries. In the early morning or evening light, it is even more beautiful. On the square in front of the monument, visitors can interact closely with pigeons or enjoy the breathtaking views of the Arabian Sea.
