Introduction
Amber Palace (also known as Amer Fort) is located on a hilltop in the northern suburbs of Jaipur, the former capital city. The palace was built in 1592 by the nobleman Man Singh of the kingdom of Amer. The palace is built of milky white, pale yellow, rose-red and pure white stones, resembling an amber when viewed from a distance. Therefore, it is also known as Amber Palace. The palace covers a large area and is composed of many independent palaces that blend the Rajput and Islamic architectural styles. The palace is built into the mountain and is very spectacular. The Mirror Palace is one of the most famous palaces in the palace. Countless small mirrors and gems (now replaced with imitations) are embedded in the palace walls, and at night, lit by candlelight, the palace reflects countless brilliant lights, making it very dazzling.
