Introduction

The Devil's Throat Falls is hailed as a wonder and its uniqueness lies in the mysterious underground cave beneath it, where the water suddenly disappears and then emerges from several kilometers away, forming a river. This mysterious cave emits a persistent and warm heat, and one can easily feel the warmth on their hands. The waterfall is also known as the Davis Falls and was discovered in 1961. It was formed by a small stream eroding the rocky walls due to snowmelt on the mountain. Because of geological reasons, the soil here is relatively moist, causing the stream to gradually dig out a large hole. The water suddenly drops several tens of meters, forming this spectacular waterfall and becoming the source of the underground river. The waterfall is named after a Swiss couple, the Davises, who had a near-death experience while bathing here, but through this experience, people discovered this wonderful waterfall and named it after their name.
