Introduction
A building complex located in the southeast of Pokhara Lake, costing 100 million rupees, showcases the harmonious ideology between mankind and nature with the surrounding mountains. The museum's exterior is shaped like a mountain peak, demonstrating the integration of humans and nature. Here, you can experience the essence of mountaineering, scientific research, and culture. The museum specifically introduces Nepal's mountains and climbers. Inside, you can see the tools used by early residents of the Himalayan region for climbing, as well as exhibits on the history, culture, geography, and biology of the Himalayan region.
The museum covers the past and present development of mountainous and mountaineering-related areas worldwide, consisting of three main exhibition halls: the Himalayan Hall, the Hall of Fame, and the World Mountain Hall. You can see exhibits of famous mountains, descriptions of renowned mountaineers, and the cultural and lifestyle of mountainous communities, covering various aspects such as flora, fauna, and geology.
