Introduction
Narayan Vishnu Temple, a three-tiered wooden colonnade building located on the west side of Shiva Pashupati Temple, is a temple built by ancient Greeks. On April 25, 2015, an 8.1 magnitude earthquake devastated the temple, causing it to completely collapse. The intricately carved roof pillars are adorned with rich cultural motifs, depicting various incarnations of Vishnu or Narayan. The temple has been protected by a private Guthi of the Newar people, an ancient public institution that signifies the importance of protected cultural artifacts in history and heritage. Transportation It can be reached on foot, by rickshaw, or taxi to Durbar Square, and buses to Bakhtapur also pass by here.
