Introduction

Jingde Confucian Temple is an ancient cultural attraction located in Jingde County, Xuancheng City, Anhui Province, China. It is also one of the cultural symbols of Jingde County. The temple was first built in the Yuan Dynasty and underwent renovations during the Ming and Qing Dynasties, covering an area of 141,300 square meters, making it the largest and most complete temple in Anhui Province. Jingde Confucian Temple is built around the theme of worshiping historical figures and inheriting Chinese culture. The temple houses rich cultural relics such as historical materials, couplets, and stone carvings, showcasing the breadth and depth of Chinese civilization. Other buildings in the temple include the surrounding halls, academies, bell towers, drum towers, east and west wing rooms, back gardens, and the top scholar's hall, showcasing the unique charm of ancient Chinese culture. In addition to the main building, there are many other places worth mentioning within the temple. The most eye-catching is the Three Provinces Pavillion, which was built in the Ming Dynasty and houses rich relics and information, making visitors feel as though they have traveled back to the life of a scholar in the Ming Dynasty. Furthermore, there are many ancient trees, lakes, gardens, and flowing water surrounding the temple, allowing visitors to appreciate the essence of ancient culture within natural beauty such as the fragrance of flowers, chirping birds, and flowing water. It is worth mentioning that during the Da Han Festival in February of the lunar calendar each year, the temple fair welcomes grand worship activities, comparable to the temple worship activities in other provinces throughout China.
