Introduction

This lake is one of the three famous lakes in Zhejiang province, along with West Lake in Hangzhou and East Lake in Shaoxing. It is renowned for its beautiful scenery of "light smoke brushing the islands, with a gentle breeze approaching", and is not only known for its stunning natural beauty, but also as an important revolutionary commemorative site in modern Chinese history. The lake is divided into two parts, east and west, with a shape resembling the intertwining necks of mandarin ducks. In ancient times, mandarin ducks often nested in the lake, hence it is also known as Mandarin Duck Lake. Walking along the lake shore is free, but if you want to visit the island in the middle of the lake and the scenic spots, you will need to purchase a ticket.
