Introduction

Lao She came to Qingdao in 1934 and worked at Shandong University until 1937. He resided in this apartment most of the time. This is one of his three rented residences in Qingdao, with the other two located on Laiwu Road and Jinkou Road. He wrote many novels, essays, and miscellaneous essays here, including the famous novel "Rickshaw Boy". The second floor was occupied by the three siblings: Huang Zongjiang, Huang Zongluo, and Huang Zongying.
