Introduction

This scenic area located in Qingyuan, Guangdong, recently won the 2017 China Tourism Popularity Award for its beautiful natural scenery and exciting rafting projects, earning the nickname of "home of Chinese rafting". The area is situated among the mountains of northern Guangdong and offers a complete rafting experience along a natural river, with the protection of forest tunnels providing cool, shady relief from the sun year round. The grand canyon features waterfalls, deep pools, peculiar rocks and jungles, with cliffs facing off against towering peaks and silver waterfalls cascading over swift rapids, making for truly stunning scenery. The Qing dynasty poet Yuan Mei once described it as, "thousands of mountains surge like waves, springs sing and streams gush. Floating clouds tread underfoot, the scenery of pines and surging waves is unique."
