Introduction

The ancient section of the Great Wall at Badaling, also known as the remnants of the Great Wall, is located 5 kilometers southwest of the Badaling Great Wall Scenic Area and served as an important stronghold of defense in the region. Despite its incomplete state, the remnants still exude a powerful cultural charm and are complimented by the surrounding natural beauty, drawing numerous tourists to visit. In fact, it serves as a testament to history, with two archaeological sites - a stone quarry used during the construction of the wall and a brick kiln - providing important clues to understanding the materials used in its construction. In the spring, many photography enthusiasts come to capture the blooming apricot blossoms and experience the ancient beauty of the Great Wall. It feels as if you have traveled through time to witness the epic of history.

Driving: Take the Badaling Expressway and exit at the Badaling Great Wall exit, follow the signs to the scenic area. Public transportation: Take bus No. 919 at Deshengmen and get off at the Badaling Ancient Great Wall bus stop, then walk about 1.4 kilometers to reach the destination.
