Introduction

The Dajin Lake tourist area is known as the "hundred-mile lake and mountain, the world's spiritual crown". It contains five major scenic spots: Jinhu, Shangqing Creek, Zhuangyuan Rock, Luohanshan, and Shangshu, with a total area of less than 230 square kilometers, but it gathers the main geological landscapes of the Taining World Geopark. Billions of years of natural carving have shaped the natural wonders of Danxia on the water, deep and quiet canyon streams, bizarre mountain peaks and stone pillars, and colorful Danxia caves, forming geological beauties such as the "Canyon Grand View Garden" and "Cave Museum". The Dajin Lake water Danxia has been certified by 63 well-known domestic and foreign geological experts, and has been rated as the most complete, diverse, and rich in landscape, the largest in area and the highest in elevation in the world. In addition, Dajin Lake also has the rare "rock cave culture" landscape in the world. As early as in history, Dajin Lake had more than 130 temples of various sizes, of which more than 70 are still preserved. These temples were built in various shapes of rock caves, and the most famous Ganlu Temple is the template of the Nara Todaiji Temple, a world cultural heritage site in Japan. In addition, the large and small rock caves of Dajin Lake are closely related to the history of Confucianism in China. The master of Song-Ming Neo-Confucianism, Zhu Xi, used to teach students in the Danxia Rock, and the Southern Song Dynasty champion, Zou Yinglong, and the owner of the Shangshu, Li Chunye, became famous for studying in the rock caves.
